“Classic Makeout Music Montage”

Oh, this will be fun!  I noticed that one of my friends on Facebook (an awesome dude named Scott who is WAY into music trivia and lists) is doing a “Classic Rock Smackdown!”  Fun!  So…last night…I got to thinking how fun it would be for us to do a “Classic Makeout Music Montage!”  By process of comparison and then elimination, we’ll eventually choose our top 10 Classic Makeout Songs!  Then we can all make a playlist, cd, etc!  Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? So…here’s how it will work…every few days I will post two songs on Facebook and/or here on this blog.   You then vote for your favorite out of the two.  When we’ve chosen 20 faves (out of 40)…we’ll do one more round to choose the top ten!  I’ll post videos from youtube on here (when available) to help you decide!  Sounds fun, huh?  Thus, we begin:

…You’re parked in a car on the edge of a lake…isolated…no…WAIT!  Your dream guy/husband/boyfriend has parked his PICKUP on the edge of an isolated lake…it’s ten o’clock at night…full moon…stars glittering like diamonds in a clear sky on a summer night…you’re inside the pickup (an old one, of course, to avoid the bucket seat issue) OR outside the truck, stretched out on the hood…which song do you want to be playing on the radio…”Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum or “Tim McGraw” by Taylor Swift?  Post your vote as a comment here, or on my Facebook!  (This is a tough one!)

    I am going to have to say, Tim McGraw, that song is the perfect one for that time of romance, but then again need you now is perfect to. :)

    I’m not going to lie… I am not a country fan, really, and so making out to either of these songs is not really ideal.

    However, I would go with the Lady Antebellum song over the other.

    It is a tough choice but I would go with Need You Now as well, because its a song about coming together whereas Tim McGraw is about mostly remembering the past and doesn’t quite get to the coming together part. I don’t know about anybody else, but when I’m listening to a song I need to feel connected to the lyrics and if I’m with my dream guy I don’t want to be distracted by thoughts of him going away :)

    I have to go with Taylor Swift. My boyfriend and I have never actually kissed because by the time I figured out that I am completely in love with him, he was living in Texas and won’t be coming home for another sixteen months but all of the songs that really make me think of him, are Taylor Swift. He made a CD before he left for Texas and about half of the songs are by her.
