Be the One
From Love Me by Marcia Lynn McClure
“I…I always wanted you to be the one,” she whispered. Her confirmation seemed to be his undoing and he took her mouth again with his own. His kiss was deeper, driven, nearly suffocating and Jacey thought there would be no better way to die than to be smothered by his kiss. And it was true, what she’d told him. She’d always dreamed, always wanted him to be the man she married, to be the one she would entirely give herself to. More tears escaped her eyes and her mind silently affirmed, she still dreamt of it.
His hands were at her waist, gripping her shoulders, then lost in her hair. He caressed her face with the tips of his fingers, kissed her with a driven brutality one moment and playfully, gently the next. He bound her in his arms, crushing her against the sold contours of his body and Jacey received his kiss, responded to them, and implemented passion driven kisses of her own…kissing him the way she’d wanted to for so very, very long.
She let her hands caress the breadth of his shoulders, frantically embraced him, let her fingertips caress the roughly shaven contours of his face. All the while her mind silently cried, ‘I love you! Please don’t let me go this time!’
